The End of an Era

After years of developing and selling software, I've made the decision to discontinue my products and shut down my website.

I've spent years working independently, developing and maintaining commercial software, handling everything from development and testing to customer support and documentation. Even during periods of very low sales, I continued fixing bugs, releasing updates, and supporting my customers. Unfortunately, sales on CodeCanyon have now declined to practically nothing, and continuing is no longer financially sustainable.

Envato's increase in fees from 12.5% to 50%, combined with the growing accessibility of AI tools that make developing a solution yourself almost as easy as purchasing one, has further affected the viability of selling software through the marketplace.

I explored selling my products independently, but operating from Tunisia makes this impossible. PayPal and Stripe are not available, and my application to Paddle was rejected without an explanation. I suspect my company's location in Tunisia was a factor. Without access to a reliable international payment processor, I have no practical way to sell my products outside the marketplace.

Beyond the business challenges, I've lost confidence in Tunisia's economic and political direction. It's a country that takes and takes, but gives nothing back. Entrepreneurs face unnecessary obstacles, limited access to essential international services, and a system that does little to help them succeed. I don't see meaningful change on the horizon, and I'm no longer willing to spend more years waiting for conditions to improve. I don't believe I can build the future I want here.

Seeking Employment and Permanent Relocation Abroad

My main priority now is to leave Tunisia permanently and establish a new life abroad. I'm actively seeking employment opportunities that can make this possible, particularly with employers willing to hire international candidates and provide visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.

This is more than a search for another job. I'm looking for a long-term opportunity to work, contribute, become established in a new country, and build a stable future. I'm flexible about the destination and prepared to relocate wherever a suitable opportunity is available.

My background is primarily in software development, including PHP, Laravel, WordPress, WooCommerce, APIs, databases, and server administration. Having independently developed, released, and maintained commercial products, I also have experience managing projects, solving technical problems, supporting customers, and handling the responsibilities of running a business on my own.

However, I'm not limiting my search to IT. I'm open to opportunities in other industries, including entry-level positions and roles that require learning new skills or changing careers entirely. I'm prepared to start over professionally if that's what it takes.

A Note to Existing Customers

Finally, I'd like to thank everyone who purchased my products, reported issues, provided feedback, or supported my work over the years. I appreciate the trust you've placed in me and regret that I can no longer continue maintaining these products.

For existing customers, I also want to make it clear that I'm not abandoning the products you've purchased. Once the company has been officially shut down, I'll release a final version of each product that removes license verification requirements, so you can continue using them without depending on my servers. I'll also publish the products on GitHub for anyone who wishes to continue using or maintaining them. There won't be any further official updates or support after these final releases, but the software will remain available.
